Moving Beyond Pilots – An Exploration of the Challenges and Solutions to Scale up an EV Fleet

Transitioning from small-scale EV pilot projects to large-scale fleet deployment presents a multitude of new challenges for fleet managers. This session will explore what these challenges are and how they vary for different types of fleets, along with a discussion of different approaches Fleet Managers can take to efficiently address these hurdles. Drawing upon examples from mature EV markets around the globe, bp will explore the following topics:
– Scaling up – what is a ‘Pilot’ and what isn’t?
– Global examples of Fleet that have exited the ‘Pilot’ stage
– Different needs for different Fleets – segmenting use cases
– The technical, commercial and operational challenges of scaling up an EV fleet
– Exploring current and potential future solutions to overcome the scaling hurdles.
