Known for provocative and probing debate, quick wit and willingness to ask the
stickiest of questions, Jon Faine AM is the thinking persons shock jock who delivers
one of the most thought-provoking radio programs in Australia.

With over 30 years in daily talk radio, Jon, has been the popular presenter of the
‘774 ABC Melbourne’ Morning programme. Whether it be current affairs, law, arts
or sport, Jon investigates the issues and stories affecting Melbourne today with
energy and vigour – all without taking life too seriously.

Jon has interviewed opinion makers and leaders from business, the Arts, sport – no
matter what walk of life, asking the questions the public want answered.
In 2008 Jon together with his son Jack took long service leave and drove from
Melbourne to London – 40,000kms, 20 countries in six months.

With a professional background in law, Jon produced and presented Radio
National’s Law Report, and then presented 3LO’s morning and afternoon programs
and worked on ABC TV’s Investigators, First Edition and Wise UP. He was also a
scriptwriter for several of TV and feature films.

With this rich background, Jon is able to tackle any issue and will engage in the
‘contest of ideas’ for your upcoming conference or event.

Dr Sarah Cameron is a political scientist in the School of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Sydney. Her research interests include comparative political behaviour, Australian politics, and citizen responses to crises. 

Dr Cameron contributes to several leading studies on elections and democracy. She is a Chief Investigator on the Australian Election Study, the leading study of elections in Australia. She is also an investigator on the Comparative Study of Electoral Systems, and previously managed the Electoral Integrity Project. She is the author of major reports on Australian elections, including The 2019 Australian Federal Election: Results from the Australian Election Study and Trends in Australian Political Opinion 1987-2019. Other recent publications include the book Electoral Integrity in America (Oxford University Press, 2019), and articles in European Political Science Review and Australian Journal of Political Science.
